We are an elite unit from the Nachal Brigade, one of the IDF combat divisions like Givati or Golani. We are the Chapak Machat Team, a specialized communications and first shock defense force. We specialize in the areas of counter-terrorism, communications on the battlefield, disabling enemy explosives and are also the bodyguards of commanders on the battlefield.

Our team is composed of soldiers in Israel without family (parents living abroad), new immigrants and native Israelis.

The recent conflict in Gaza has exposed the inadequacy of the basic equipment the army supplies. Better equipment will help us perform better. We want to focus on our responsibilities and complete them with less risk, less pain and less discomfort. In this period of heightened stress and stretched resources, we are asking for your help. We have begun an effort to raise funds from the public both in Israel and abroad to help outfit our unit properly and ask for your financial support in this endeavor.
